I’m Danielle—the owner, artisan and jeweler behind every creation at Ferd & Bird.

Working out of North East Alabama, I practice slow, traditional jewelry making and metal work, a deliberate alternative to modern factory production. I’ve always been drawn to items with a past: forgotten findings and vintage metal things that carry a quiet history. My passion is reimagining those timeworn pieces into one-of-a-kind statement jewelry. I believe the best art looks like it already has a long history. I dedicate hours to shaping, soldering, and aging metals so every finished piece looks and feels like a long-cherished heirloom rather than something off a store shelf.

I hand-select metal artifacts, vintage metalwork, and natural stones, combining rustic Southern influences with clean, modern design lines.

Every piece is constructed individually by hand using hand tools, ensuring exceptional durability and a distinct personality.

Because no two vintage treasures or natural stones are ever identical, every item I create is a true original.

Each piece is crafted with intention—giving forgotten materials a second life and creating jewelry that’s made to be lived in, worn every day, and enjoyed for years to come.

By giving old-world relics a second story, I hope to create pieces that feel personal the moment you put them on. Thank you for supporting independent, small-batch artistry from North East Alabama.
